I didn't like how Skyrim felt so much more depressing and serious than Oblivion. I play those games in 3rd person and although Skyrim's walking animations aren't perfect, they're better than Oblivion's. People felt like Skyrim was more dumbed down but I never saw how besides the developers taking away the class system, which to me, added more opprotunities to experiement with how you play the game instead of being limited to certain set of primary skills, custom class or not. I actually made characters that looked cool (I've made Arnold Schwarzenegger, okay?) in Skyrim where Oblivion took a lot more time and frustration. Not that looks are everything, but I get taken out of games where I can make my own character and they don't look how I want them too. The graphics and characters looked a lot better. Still there's not a lot diversity but there's still areas that snow more than others, swamps, beaches, mountains, ect. Skyrim's landscape felt more diverse than Oblivion.
